What to watch??
What to watch has been a question i have been asking since the US rating season ended in May. I haven't really had anything to watch cause most of the shows i would have watched i have already seen. I'm glad to say that there has been some shining lights and im want to share them with you so if you get a chance you will know to watch.
Extras- This is the follow up for Stephen Merchant & Ricky Gervais who worte The Office. Now i was excited about this no matter if it lived up to The Office or not. I think these guys are great and had no fear going into watching the first episode. When i fired up the first episode i was not let down in any way, actually during the series i was laughing so hard that i think i started to cry. Extras is about Andy Millman (Ricky Gervais) trying to become a real actor but all the work he gets is extra work. This is a must!!
Little Britain- Now this is a old series but is very new to me. I only really heard good things about this series but had never done anything about it but the other day after watching the last episode of Extras i decided that i needed another fix of Brithish comedy so i went and bought the DVD. Now Little Britain is a sketch comedy show that is written by Matt Lucas and David Williams, who not only wrote but also star in most of the sketches. Now this is funny stuff, some of the characters in the series are Daffyd Thomas who cliams to be the only gay in his village, a juvenile delinquent Vicky Pollard, Lou who is a helper for a wheelchair- bound friend Andy and many more. I dont want to give any more away cause its just so very good. go get it!!!
Weeds- My brother turned me on to this one. This is on Showtime in the states and it is very good. Showtime seem to be on a winning streak much like HBO a few years ago. Weeds is about a widow who is selling weed in the suburbs to maintain her and her two children lifestyle. The 3 episodes i have seen were great, they covered eveything from a mother putting laxative in her daughters chocolate to teach her a lesson, selling weed at the weekend soccer match and even a neighbour haveing a gay toyboy. This show has big potential and i hope just gets better.
Go forth and lounge in front of your TVs and laptops!! Happy viewing! Bring on September!
